Where I live, we can't really see the sunset, even if I climb our roof. It's blocked from view by the many buildings and increasingly wide expanse of land and road that separates us from the Manila Bay.

Still, it doesn't mean we don't get treated to a spectacular show of sunset colors from time to time.

This isn't the best I've seen, but it's my favorite color combination. If you look close enough, you can see Venus large and bright next to the moon.

This is the March 1 sky, a couple of days after the February 27 moon and Venus conjunction, announced by NASA in its Pretty Sky Alert.

I work in a newly developed area, where several buildings, mostly for call centers, are still being constructed. The air is still fresh, the sky is still clear, and some lots are still empty. Sometimes, when I take a walk at dusk, I can still hear crickets chirping. I'm not sure how long it will stay this way, and I'm enjoying it while it lasts.

This blog will be about the little pleasures I find in my little tropical suburban corner of the universe.
